Sylvie is a kind-hearted and thoughtful young girl whose greatest wish is to bring hope to the orphans and widows in her community as she grows older. She dreams of expanding her skills too, starting with learning how to cook American dishes, a challenge she looks forward to with excitement. She holds deep respect for the sponsors of My Vision for Refugees, admiring their generosity and the way they pour love into the lives of children in Guinea. If she could transform something in her community, Sylvie would ensure that every child—no matter their circumstances—has access to a strong, meaningful education. In the next decade, she imagines herself with a family of her own, sharing and modeling values of love and fairness. Sylvie hopes to use her abilities to help children in her community attend school for free so they can build brighter futures. She feels encouraged about what lies ahead because of the education she receives at Home of Hope and the steady support from those around her. Some of her happiest moments are simply being surrounded by her brothers and sisters at Home of Hope, and one of the things she loves most about herself is her ability to make them laugh.
